The official BCCI team for the upcoming 20-20 World Cup has been selected. And the team selection is pretty much on expected lines. The rich and the famous have been selected with scant regard to their form. I would say that the selection of Ashish Nehra and Ravinder Jadeja is a leap of faith. The world hasn’t seen either of these two players playing ‘20-20’ cricket in recent times. The 'new' kid this time is Vinay Kumar and one can only hope that he is not a 'one-and-out' like many of his predecessors.
As I scan the official team, I couldn't help but think of an alternative team based on current form. Please let me indulge you (of course Sachin and Rahul have not been considered for selection)!
